senior memos
Seniors were missing important graduation and commencement emails buried among other university communications, so we created Senior Memos, a periodic newsletter for all things graduation. My supervisors wanted it to stand out from regular announcements, so I designed a consistent set of graphics and a style guide to make the newsletter visually distinct and key information easier to find.
The final product included six graphics with some for Instagram and others for the newsletter.

marshall
week stickers
When I was asked to design stickers for Marshall Week, I had full creative control as long as they tied back to the event. I started with our standard red-and-white color scheme, but feedback from my manager and coworkers made it clear the designs didn't feel specific enough to Marshall Week.

Since the spirit week centered around the basketball game, I leaned into that idea. After stumbling on a capybara video, I decided to create a trendy, playful mascot design instead. Seeing students light up as they grabbed stickers at the merch booth showed me how something as small as a sticker can build community.
dream forget
return
I worked with Kelsey O. Daniels, our Artist in Residence, to promote Dream Forget Return, her live show blending poetry, music, and improv that encourages students to dream fearlessly.
She wanted something fun and doodle-like, evoking a personal drafting board of dreams, so I designed with that in mind while keeping Marshall's colors and branding intact.
This was my first time working 1:1 with a client, and it taught me how essential clear communication is to keeping everyone's vision aligned.

A collection of (most of) the graphics I've made during my time at Thurgood Marshall College, from when I first started learning Figma and Illustrator to the end of my time on the TMC Design Team. Here's the fruit of my labor!
